Described by grateful parents as “one of the greatest experiences a special needs child could have in their lifetime,” Dana Point Harbor Partners (DPHP) is proud to be a platinum sponsor of the Southern California Fish for Life (FFL) program.
The FFL mission is to enhance the lives of special needs individuals through inclusive fishing adventures. Since the maiden voyage in 2010, FFL has served over 1500 special needs children providing inspiration, teaching fishing and team skills, building confidence and connection, and creating lasting memories.
Each FFL trip includes an unforgettable red-carpet ceremony to board the 95-ft Dana Pride with expert fishing instruction from the Dana Wharf crew and dedicated volunteer support and concludes with an awards presentation. Local trips run annually from June – November.
DPHP joins individual donors and organizations in directly supporting the program. Dana Point Harbor Partners Bryon Ward and Joe Ueberroth presented the $10,000 donation to Fish For Life Founder Jim Holden on Saturday, November 2, ahead of the final charter of the 2024 season.
“This is a phenomenal community program, close to our hearts, and a staple of Dana Point Harbor,” said Bryon Ward of Dana Point Harbor Partners. “We are honored to help expand access to this experience and share our passion for the open ocean.”
DPHP team members were able to join the final trip of the 2024 season from the home port at Dana Wharf.
